The Energy & Climate Committee's mission is to assist communities within the region to bring about sustainable growth, to develop an innovative economy and create a healthy lasting prosperity, grounded in the natural beauty and resources of Southwest Florida. The committee's goal is to reduce the Region’s per capita carbon based energy consumption over the next five years by using energy efficiencies, conservation, alternative and renewable energy sources.
